Who are we?
Lauren Ackley graduated from college in 2009 with a fine arts degree but had little success applying her talents in a meaningful career. Dissatisfied and heart sick with the meandering path her professional life was taking, Lauren found herself daydreaming and doodling to escape.
Although her post art-school lifestyle has not afforded her a pet, Lauren's love of furry friends is clear to anyone that has paged through her sketchbook. A recurring character in these pages is a simple drawing of a cat holding a balloon, aptly named "Catson."
What's with the cat?
Catson's simple swagger and absent-minded expression have brought many smiles to Lauren and devoted counterpart, Trevor Simonton. Trevor encouraged Lauren to share Catson with the world, thinking that others might relate to what he symbolizes. After all, aren't we all trying to latch onto a balloon that will take us away from our daily struggles?
So where did this awesome website come from?
Trevor happens to be a super stellar web developer. With the help of Trevor, Catson transformed from sketchbook scribble to web-based greeting card and apparel company.
